...change the "d" to "s" and you get the picture.
Jeff Gordon sucked at Daytona??? WTH was with Gordon last night? He led the first lap, then went continually backwards all damn night! Even when he had decent track position on a restart, he went backwards. It looked to me like he wasn't even trying to race. Hell, Logano looked more racey than Gordon did. I blame the stupid chase points system. With the stupid chase points, and Gordon sitting 2nd in the points, it doesn't matter if he has a very crappy finish at one or two tracks leading up to the chase. With the Old point system, every finish was critical for points. I don't blame Gordon. He's raced very hard for well over 10 years in the Cup series. He's a family man now. Watching his daughter grow up is surely far more important to him right now than risking his life at a RP track race. And with the stupid point system, he didn't have to race hard and it didn't have any real affect on his standings in the points because the points will be reset after Richmond. I can't blame Gordon for that, but as a Gordon fan it pisses me off because that's not what I expect from that team at Daytona. Gordon has always been one of the best at RP racing. In the past, no matter how many times he gets hung out, he'd always come back to the front. I would rather see Gordon retire than to "ride" like so many others did before they hung up their helmet for the last time.

Here we go again, Jeff Gordon is not a real racer, right? Why should he risk his life at a RP race when it doesn't have any effect on the chase race? Should he do it for me, his other fans, to prove he's a "real racer" to you? If you've not seen Gordion race as hard as anyone at those tracks in the past, then you haven't been paying attention. He's looking at the end of his career. He has nothing to prove to anyone. You can suck like Schrader, but because he races in different series, he's a "real racer", but if you have proven to (almost) everyone by the accomplishments Gordon has that are beyond reproach, that doesn't count. I know... He's way better than average.

Bill Elliott
Dale Jarrett DW Harry Gant Ken Schrader A short list of drivers that decided to try to survive RP racing near the end of their career, and ride it out. Guess these guy's weren't "real racers" either.

Oh well, let Scooters continue her blindness. She's too blind to admit that Jeff Gordon is better than she thinks he is. One thing is for a fact that Jeff will always be the better Gordon because Robby will NEVER amount to anything in NASCAR.
If 82 wins is "just average", then Robby Gordon's 3 wins amounted to NOTHING!

Why should he risk his life at a RP race when it doesn't have any effect on the chase race? Well thats a stupid statement right there. I'm a Gordon fan myself. Tell me why it has no effect??? Do you watch the Chase and how the points are tallied? Bonus points for wins throughout the season...You try to win every race for the extra 10 points.. |

Personally, I think Gordon just had a lousy car and couldn't stay at the front no matter how hard he tried.
