The things the 24 team did were more dominant.... FROM THAT ERA.
I'm talking about a period of time from the mid to late 90's.
Still not paying attention, I see. lol

Gordon fans are just in denial, tha's all. Winning 3 back to back championships is domination. Being there all year long, and knowing how to make the points when it counts the most....again, domination.

Now, if Jeff was damn good, don't get me wrong. But, if he'd have won all those things AND had 3 back-to-back cup wins, then you'd be onto something.

And to repeat klem's first post...all in good fun:-)

The first one has been answered, but I'd love to see what you have to say about the rest...
Tell me, when has JJ won 4 straight races?
When has JJ won 6 straight road course races?
When has JJ won 13 races in a single season?
When has JJ had 3 seasons with double digit wins?
Jeff Gordon was 34 points away from 3 straight championships in the mid 90's.

The 48 or any team has ever been as dominant as the 24 team... from that era.

JJ's run isn't over yet? Who cares? What does that have to do with my statement that the 48 has never been as dominant as the 24 team from the mid to late 90's?

I think it's you and some others here that are in denial.
Show me any teams stats that beat the stats of the 24 team from the mid to late 90's.

Let me put it like this.
Terry Labonte won the championship in 96 with 2 wins, compared to Gordon's 10 wins.
Who had the most dominant season?
There's more to the picture than who walked away with the Cup.

But that era is gone....10 years ago. Your argument is weak. Had Gordon actually won 3 in a row, rather than fall short, you'd have more bite. But he fell short...

My argument is not weak.
This entire discussion was based on a post I made about the 24 team from the mid to late 90"s.

You telling me that era is gone is a weak argument.
