Default Logano Cup Debut Set

Logano Cup Debut Set

Managing Editor

Joe Gibbs Racing plans to enter Nationwide Series driver Joey Logano in his first Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway with an additional six more events possible in 2008.

"Sirius Speedway" has learned from a source close to the Gibbs camp that Logano will get his first opportunity to pilot a Cup car when NASCAR returns to Richmond in September.

The Toyota will carry Gatorade sponsorship and the starts will prepare Logano for a full run at Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors in 2009.

The source also reports Logano will pilot a Venturini Motorsports entry in the upcoming ARCA RE/MAX Series event at Talladega Superspeedway in October.

I always like seeing people get their 1st win. I'll pull for Logano up until that point but that's it. Until he drives something else other than a Toyota.

Yeah, it's not even an American car unless the people who build it contribute 7% of their paycheck to the nine figure income of the union president. Just because you build the cars in Kentucky, Alabama, Indiana or California doesn't mean its an American car. Real American cars are built in Canada and Mexico by Canadians and Mexicans.
